Earth and Maps.
The Earth is spherical. It comes in globes and maps . These, when they represent the entire Earth, are called planispheres. Globes keep the ratio of distances, shapes and size distribution of continents and oceans, but you can not play flat surfaces. The maps of Earth on a flat surface, but distort the shapes, the distance or proportion.
The scale of the map shows how a map is reduced to the reality.
The geographical coordinates are a set of lines, parallels and meridians, which can locate points on a map.

The physical world map represents the extent and shape of the oceans and continents on Earth. The political world map represents the extent and limits of the countries on Earth.
Earth's surface consists of oceans and continents . Oceans are large bodies of salt water. There are five oceans: Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, Pacific and Antarctic Ice. The continents are large areas of dry land. There are six continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Oceania and l to Antarctica.
